Christian Minecraft server rules - The ten commandments
There is only one rule: No swearing,

Jesus Christ is Lord of this server. The server mission is to spread the word of Jesus Christ. There are thousands of servers out there and we wants our to be a light in the darkness.
Everybody is welcome to visit us. This makes this server not always a family friendly one but still The ten commandments is the server rules.
We have a no-ban policy. Since mission of the servers is to spread the Word of God and how can we do that if we ban those who need it most?
Despite the no-ban-policy - keep The ten commandments! (Deu 5)
[1] No other Gods - No disrespect, swearing, racism nor sexism
[2] No idols - No enchantments, magic nor potions - (Deu 18:10, Rev 9:21)
[3] No misuse of Gods name - No use of God's name instead of swearing
[4] Remember the sabbath - No building on the Sabbath
[5] Obey your parents - A child must have legal guardian consent to play
[6] No killing - Man or mobs. (Self-defense allowed.) Eat veggie foods.
[7] No adultery - No talk, builds or jokes about sex or sexual orientation
[8] No stealing - No griefing, Pay tithes. Claim land, see c.christmc.com
[9] No lying - No spam nor advertizing
[10] No coveting - Do not do anything that affects game play, i.e. use of hacks, mods nor glitches nor ask staff for op, ranks nor spawned items.
# This server is a vegan one so do not kill animals. If you are starving we will not ban you for killing and eating animals.
If you are hungry eat plant based foods. If you are starving we will not ban you for killing and eating animals. It is possible to survive without killing animals. Any animal or mob farming is forbidden on the server.
The only place the perfect will of God was expressed was in the garden of Eden. Before the great flood of Noa people only ate plant based foods.
We use Grief Prevention plugin and before you build anything we suggest you claim land to get protection for your belongings. We suggest you to build stone houses since their more secure from griefers. More on grief prevention in this video:

Best server ever!
ReplyDeleteBoo. Worst server ever I have never heard of a more restrictive sever. Look guys God and games do not mix. Only worship him in the real world not the vitural world. Minecraft is supposed to be about total freedom to build whatever you could imagine. Saying that people can't use magic or eat meat takes away their freedom. Minecraft is supposed to have freedom.

DeletePotions and enchantements ruin gameplay - Minecraft is too easy but this way it lasts longer.
God and games do mix. We have fun and pray and worship on the server which is what we love to do.

Please consider your rules are breaking the 4th commandment. You say to not build on Sunday. No where in the Bible is Sunday ever the Sabbath. The Sabbath is the 7th day of the week. Please consider a prayerful study of your Bible on this topic.
ReplyDeleteThere are millions of Christians who worship on the Bible Sabbath - Saturday, the 7th day of the week. The Bible says many are called but few are chosen. Please don't be among the few because you are worshiping on the wrong day. I admire your desire to keep the Law, but God's law never changes and you just tried to change it to say Sunday is the 7th day. Never has been. Never will be.

Well we are not that religious so that rule is not the most important one and since we are a global server nobody ever knows what weekday it actually is where the player is.
DeleteAnd Minecraft just have numbers on the days wich are 20 minutes long wich gives us sabbath every 2,4 hours for 20 minutes. That is too hard to check,
Most players come from USA but the server is in Sweden so the sabbath in USA is not on the same time as in Sweden.
We decided to tell players to respect Sunday as sabbath since it is the tradition but I think God does not mind if we use Wednesday instead. Some use Thursday i would not use that day since i think God creates the Universe on a Thursdays (Im a last thursdayist) so in that case Wednesday is better.
And in Sweden Sunday is the seventh day. Some vegans in Sweden celebrate sabbath on the sixth day.
Since we have a no ban policy it does not matter what day you use for Sabbath. Use one day for rest because the sabbath is made for man and not man for the Sabbath.

Heres what i think...... I'm a Christian and yes, I am in the secular world everyday, but this is just dumb. The commandments were abolished by Jesus and he said to follow HIS law, not the Ten Commandments. I think the server looks cool but you guys are those tryhard Christians that are just like the pharisees in the New Testament. I came on this server on a Sunday and started to build (not knowing the rules). I said "hey guys can you critique this" and everyone flipped out. Also keep in mind that this servers rules are from man, not God.
ReplyDeleteThere is only one thing in the Bible written by God himself and that is the 10 commandments that are the server rules. So they do not come from man but directly from God.
DeleteAnd in Matt 5:19 Jesus said; "Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
This server is not for Christians its for evangelizing to non-Christians and the ten commandments are a great tool for evangelism. Every time Jesus evangelized he started speaking about the commandment. They are so wonderful and the greatest evangelizing tool in the Bible because everybody has broken them and are in dire need of the mercy of the cross.
If you already are a Christian then they of course make no sense. Then I suggest you become staff instead - staff does not need to follow the rules.
When it comes to the Sabbath in a global server you yourself has to decide when that is. When it is Monday for me in Sweden it may be Sunday for Americans or even Tuesday for Chinese players.

I think I would like to join to see if it meets my needs as far as a game goes. I prefer a community that expresses it's love for Jesus. There are plenty of them that do not. If you have a problem with the server, go to another one or create your own. This server apparently is trying to go forth and witness to the masses. We need more like that. So go create your christian server, I am sure people will find fault with yours too. That is the way the world works against Christ. Good luck whether you stay or go.
